The service plan is ending on my C220 this month and this coincides with the end of the warranty.

Mercedes are quoting £640, £520, and £625 for the next three services which will be due over the next two years on my car (I do around 22k miles per year). They mentioned that the first one includes a 'gearbox service' as this is due at 75k miles or the fifth service, then a B-service, followed by an A-service.

Obviously, Kwikfit et al are much cheaper, but do they provide a similar level of service? Their website mentions nothing about Gearbox servicing.

I'm reluctant to start another monthly service plan at £40/month, but feel it might be the best option to get the car done properly...

Thanks!

You have two options: get your trousers repeatedly pulled down on costs if you want to maintain dealer stamps in your service book or find a reputable local indie specialist who will be cheaper and no doubt much better service (though no dealer stamp)!

Not fussed about a 'dealer stamp' - all MB servicing is now digital anyway, so it's not a book to get stamped! Just want to make sure whoever I take my car to is doing the right level of service and maintaining the car properly.
