Mercedes ML500 w163 exhaust

Hello everyone, so I have a ‘04 ML500 v8 and I want to get my exhaust to sound louder however I don’t want it to drone inside as it is a semi daily, so this is the exhaust setup, 2 cats coming from each manifold and then the two pipes go into a big muffler box, after that it’s a straight pipe stock. So things I have done were, removed the big muffler box and inserted a Y pipe that joins the two pipes coming from the cats into one straight pipe. So essentially it was just the 4 cats and rest was straight pipe, it sounded great and I was happy with it but it had terrible drone noise and it was unbearable, so I had to go back to stock setup.

One problem is that I have an LPG bottle in the rear and that takes up basically all the space for a back box to go in.

My question is, can anyone recommend any setup for this car to both sound pretty loud but not have exhaust drone? Thanks a lot.

The usual cause of exhaust drone is the lack of a resonator somewhere in your system. Whatever you decide upon you'll need one of those.
