Wheels fit all models?

I have a W210 and fancy new wheels.

Am I able to replace the current 16 inchers for 17 inchers from say a W204 or a later E class?

Is there a code on the inside of the rim that states stud size that may help my search?

Any help appreciated.

I think the only thing you need to factor in is clearing brakes if you have 'sport brakes', though if you're upsizing I don't imagine it'll be an issue.
