plated or geared diff for my w204 c63?

Theres the obvious financial benefit of getting a geared rather than a plated diff but the plated has its pro's too - ie severe locking and no nonsense in terms of getting things sorted out.
Other than maintanence -- why would you get a quaife or whatever over a plated jobby diff?

Not on the Merc but on other cars I've always gone for the Quaife ATB, fantastic things

Refinement, maintenance and predicability at the limit would steer me towards the ATB over the plated diffs.

After all, it's a Merc .

How easy is it to remove the diff on the W204 63? A plated diff will need servicing relatively regularly.
