iPhone connecting to the system.??

I plug my iPhone into the USB port in the glove box but command says nothing connected?

Any ideas how I listen to my music?

My 2015 GL is the same - the USB just seems to charge the phone, and the media cables don’t include a lightning fitting, so I just use Bluetooth to play music from the phone. I should get around to buying a suitable media lead, but Bluetooth works just fine.
