Hi all,
5 mins in to driving tonight, the EML came on. It's a 2007 E350 (early engines had balancer shaft issues- this one's ok).
I will get it plugged in tomorrow - hopefully, but anyone have an idea? I know it could be a miriad of things, but just trying to be optimistic in lieu a of potential wallet raping issue. :/
It is the Friday the 13th after all!!

Unusual. What's the mileage out of interest?

I contacted the vendor and sent a picture of the bodge job (looks like gun gum with metal and jubilee clips), it had hit a rock 18 months ago, but I'm sceptical as it looks a recent repair and a mate of mine who plugged it and got it on the ramps said there's no way it'd pass an MOT.

Mercedes want to charge me £800 for a new one, but they have none in stock.

The car has done 180k miles but is in very good condition (well apart from the cat laugh)

Make friends with a good welder, assuming the honeycomb inside hasn't been smashed to pieces.
