Merc diesels no new registrations!

Has anyone any information on the "software" fix that will allow Merc to start registering and selling diesel cars?

Mercedes has halted the sale of new registrations till an emissions "fix" has been designed and fitted to some diesel cars!
I was wondering if anyone new when the fix was being done?

Seems unlikely as they have some new engines (2l and 3l)

I cancelled my daughters one yesterday and reordered a petrol instead!
