Sold an R8 V10 plus loved the engine stupidly fast but lacking a little "fun factor". Had no real idea what I would buy other than a convertible. Considered a Mclaren 650 S spider but decided at the price I was prepared to pay the car would be soon out of warranty.
I live not far from Mercedes Benz World at Brooklands and just happened to be there when they put up for sale an AMG GTC Roadster demonstrator with under 1500 miles on the clock. Went for a test drive and was surprised how civilised it was until I selected Race Mode or as I said to the salesman Maniac Mode. Fabulous, the car was transformed. Fun Factor turned up max, Took delivery a few days later. If you are in the market for a two seater convertble in this price range do not buy until you have tried this car.
