C63 4.0 vs CLS63 5.5
Discussion
I've had a CLS63 for 2 years and my Dad had it for 4 years before that.
The MAXIMUM I have had from it was 31mpg and that was by far the steadiest I could drive it. The trip was the M1 all the way to London. Mileage is mid to high 200 per tank and it's a big tank.
I've not driven the 4.0 engine but all I can say about the 5.5 is the torque is tenacious; I love it. I'm looking to sell my CLS for a bigger car to tow with etc and I can only get the ML63. I don't want to miss the engine

Hi
Not had a cls63 but did have the previous c63 with the 6.2 and now on my 2nd 4.0 c63 - the newer engine gets me 300 to 320 miles on a tank. The old one got me 180.....
The 4.0 c63 is far cheaper to run IMO

How the heck were you driving?! My old 6.2 C63, I could easily get around 320 per tank, no bother. My 5.5 E63 I get around 550 miles per tank and average 28mpg.Not had a cls63 but did have the previous c63 with the 6.2 and now on my 2nd 4.0 c63 - the newer engine gets me 300 to 320 miles on a tank.
