Just placed an order. Hoping for end of September delivery, which seems a bloody long way off.
Very different from my usual choice of car, but we want a tow bar for the bikes and more load space for a likely dog purchase.
Will be trading in the A45 for it.
Test drove it and a Macan Turbo PP. Macan felt a lot like my old 911 Turbo - almost too competent, whereas the AMG just feels like a beast trying to escape.
Spec wise went for Designo diamond white (sounds like a drink from my youth) with night packet on 20s, performance seats with silver inserts and carbon trim and pretty much every option apart from pano roof, aero and carbon packs. I was disappointed that it doesn't get the option of some of the more up to date electronics - garage door opener, Apple CarPlay, digital dash, wireless phone charger etc.
I wanted one of the blue colours, but my girlfriend was insistent that she wanted a light colour this time. At least it isn't the standard white though. The only car the dealer had in stock in diamond was an SLS roadster. It reminds me of the Ferrari bianco fuji, so I'm sure I'll be happy with it.

I love these and that engine is such a beast.
Yes seems crazy/genius to put that engine in a mid-size SUV. Of course I wouldn't be against more power I love these and that engine is such a beast. 
I test drove the AMG GTS when it first came out and I actually feel like the engine is more responsive on the throttle in the GLC. Hard to tell that it is a turbo and has a decent rev range for a non-Ferrari/McLaren FI engine.
