E63 S AMG serious delivery issues

I ordered and paid for a nicely spec'ed E63 S AMG back in November 2017. Now told that delivery date is still unknown and certainly not this side of September. That's about a year's full wait for a new car. Ferrari does better.

Does anyone know of issues that may be stopping production of the E63S?
