GL500 Gearbox issue

Just asking in case there’s a reset that anybody knows of - 2011 GL500 won’t go out of first most of the time, paddles don’t work but turning off and on will sometimes sort it, whereupon it then won’t select reverse! Shows ABS warning light a fair bit also. Due a service but any advice which enables me to drive to the dealer at more than 25mph much appreciated, thanks in advance!

Sounds like limp mode at least, but gearbox does not sound very happy. Probably best you don’t try to limp to a workshop - have you got roadside/breakdown cover?
