MB wins fairly decisively in all tests.

Amusingly the boast from forum M fans that the M5 is a 'beast' and always leaves the factory with many more horses than declared hasn't been made.

Or even the “lowly” E63 ois still epically fast too - way cheaper too

All the initial M5 0-60 times were done on a super sticky racetrack in Portugal, when the car was launched to the media. This is the first comparison I have seen that hasn’t been strictly controlled by BMW.

The other thing I took from the Carwow video is that the BMW sounds like a lawnmower in comparison to the AMG.

On past form the ‘real life conditions’ of the Carwow tests have been reasonably accurate.
My only observation would be that Anything but a light controlled start is going to be called into question. However, the BMW driver was half way up the straight before the first run’s countdown even finished; and still got beat LOL

Have to say I've never even tried the launch control on my E63, much more fun practising fast starts. I'm quite happy to accept there's a lot of fast cars out there and Mach 1 off the line is really down to driver skill, tyres, road conditions and driver reaction at the E63, RS6 etc etc level

Is this the one where driver reaction in the MB is awful? Having a laugh about it the other day. Get over the driver reaction and the two are neck and neck.

Incidentally both Evo and Top Gear preferred the E63.
