C350 Gear chnage issue
Discussion
Hi,
I seem to have picked up an issue today .. I have a 2013 C350 CDI which will only change gear when it gets to above 3k revs. The paddle shifters or the using the gear shift doesn't work (with paddle you cant change at all, with gear you get the D1, D2, D3 etc when moving the lever but no gear change) and the car seems quite sluggish.
There are no warning lights on and I haven't had this issue before ( car has done 30k) - has anyone else experienced the same issues at all or have any suggestions what the problem may be?
Thanks in Advance

Mine did this intermittently, without producing any error codes for a while, then eventuality the eml came on and the error code showed a fuel pump problem which plainly it wasn't.
Looking at the live data showed crazy values for the DPF Differential pressure. Changing the sensor sorted the problem.

How long have you had the car? Does it do it all of the time?
If not aware, the car will alter gear-change parameters if it is trying to regenerate the DPF , ie maintain higher revs to heat it up. Has the car had a number of interupted regenerations. Yet another 'benefit' of the incessant drive to 'improve' things.
Of course, it might be nothing to do with this, there are so many sensors now linked to 'efficiency' criteria that any one of them could cause problems. Does it revert to normal if you take it for a long steady higher-speed drive. If something simple like that doesn't work, you'll probably need to have it put on STAR.
