Servicing Costs for new C43?
Discussion
Not specific to a C43 but having looked into this recently for my E class I cam to the conclusion that it is best to pay for the first service separately and then take out the service plan as the subsequent services are more expensive as they include more items, some of which are extra to the normal service cost but included in the service plan cost.
The first service on a Merc is always going to be cheapest one through its life span!
From then onwards you are going to need items that may not be covered by a service plan.
Brakes pads and discs dealer will want to change if they do not think they will last the 12k. To the next service.
Also the transmission service maybe due during the period.
Paying out for the service as you go gives you total freedom as to what you want replaced.
You could stick the 40 sovs into a bank account a month , might even be able to treat yourself at the end of 3 years.
The salesman gets a nice little earner out of pushing these plans!

It’s the ATF change that makes or breaks the value of the plan. Snag is it’s not easy to tell when it’s required and Mercedes does have history of messing about with the interval.
If it doesn’t come up on the ESS (Electronic Service Sheet) system that Mercedes use then the dealer won’t do it. ESS also gets messed up if the car’s mileage is much higher or lower than typical annual miles and it tends to miss things out.

Steve can you keep us updated on how you get on with C43
I like coupe and it seems like a great package
Sure. I’ve got around 500 miles on so far but I’m following the running in instructions so I’ve not pushed it too hard. I like coupe and it seems like a great package
I’m coming from a CLA45 so I’m keen to see how it compares. Two things I noticed straight away are the noise, which is great in comparison, and the interior, which I feel is much better and much more solid than the CLA.
Cheers for now.
