Why is there no E63 Coupe

I once saw an E class Coupe badged up as a 6.3 AMG in the USA, but as far as I'm aware they have never been made at the factory, I would have thought that there would have been a demand for these and as they have always done a saloon and estate why no Coupe ?

Yes from the picture MB have just put on FB it's going to be a 53, but at least they are making a 'proper' one now :-)

Probably because of the new AMG GT "4 Door", 63S.

Based on new Eclass Platform, comes with the 4L V8 TT, pretty hotted up something like 650HP +

Trying to rival the Panamera.

MB could have made one years ago, the last shape of E coupe had a lot of C class in the platform (I believe it was going to be a CLK before it became part of the E Class range) , so if it fits in one of those it would have fitted in the E, I'm sure there would have been people that would have wanted one, nice to see the press shots of the new car as it looks like they have taken some styling cues from the last Sport Plus model with the red belts and black / diamond cut wheels

My local dealer tells me there's due to be an E43 Coupe when they do the engine updates (V6 diesel to inline 6). Budget can't stretch to a E63 so not asked the question.
