C36 AMG or E500

Which is better?

Straight six 280bhp or heavier V8 326bhp. I've driven both and there is not much in it, although the E500 was only available LHD, which would sway me towards the C36.

I would have thought finding a 500E quite difficult, making the C32 the choice.

Last of the C36s had a five speed electronically controlled 'box, much better than the hyrdaulic four speeder fitted to E500.

Having owned and driven a C36 I'd go for this.
It changes over time - earl cars had no traction control, later cars I believe had this fitted - find one without if you can!!

Mine was gorgous and I still miss it a lot - an honest bruiser of a car

500 is v nice, but is much much heavier - the 36 would probably outhandle it without much difficulty and you won't miss the extra power... besides you could always supercharge the c36
