W204 estate rear interior lighting problem hatch alarming

Hi all
We have a c220d estate after the weekend the far (boot) interior lights (2 small on rear pillows) have been staying on! Also alarming whilst driving that it’s open , it’s closed! Also rear screen wiper not functioning?
Wiring problem? Or hopefully fuse?
Any help much appreciated, scratching my head here!

I'd suggest checking the wiring where it goes through the tailgate.

Apparently a common issue.
