Stupidly expensive I know but am considering one for my E43 AMG because it can be fitted by a MB dealer so provides peace of mind in terms of warranty.

Any feedback appreciated.

I've had some Brabus upgrades on my G63. The standard of workmanship was excellent and the results are incredible in terms of performance and sound. The upgrades I got are covered by a 3 year Brabus warranty and the Mercedes-Benz warranty remains in place for parts not modified. Servicing is exactly as the standard car. The main issue I had was declaring the modifications for insurance purposes. Virtually no one wanted to even quote.

What upgrades are you considering?

Hi, thanks for replying.

I was considering the ECU tune/ remap called the b30-450, it adds about 50 BHP. The car is only 6 months old and so I don't want to lose the warranty.

However I don't want to end up paying a massive premium for insurance either. I'll run it past my insurer prior to any mods. I've read about people only having to pay an extra £50- £100 insurance for a 'mild' remap.

What did you have done?

Hi there, what was the cost of this and was it worth it in a heavy car like a G63?

The Brabus package isn't cheap but the quality of the engineering is very good and the G holds its value well. The performance is fantastic and with the extra power you easily forget the mass you are carrying. I originally considered the 620 package but I'm glad I went for the 700.

I don't think your account is set up to receive PMs. I left the suspension standard as I wanted to keep the off-road capability.
