I had an intermittent limp home mode on C350. The error codes were not helpful and seemed to point to various random things from fuel pump to low battery volts. Just to confuse the issue you seem you get a number of engine starts with a fault present before it goes to limp home mode so you can clear the fault, do something and try it, it may appear to be ok until you have restarted a few times. It was more useful to ignore the logged errors and look only at the live data.

On my car it turned out to be an intermittent DPF differential pressure sensor, this measures the gas pressure either side of the DPF to indicate how clogged it is.

My C350 CDI has been perfect for almost 2 years and then yesterday it threw the EML on and had code read and it's a b2/7b1 error right intake air temp sensor

looks like right and left have to be replaced at the same time as it's an all in one unit, been told price for units is approx £570

Good luck ..
. I was told mine could be a cylinder or knox sensor. Again this morning it boosted ok now its not . I had the light turned off and done 15miles without it coming back on yet.

i've done 75+ miles with no loss of power or performance
only thing i have seen is a slight decrease in MPG

Right the symptom is .

First thing in the morning car starts fine drives fine and is boosting by that i meam the turbo is working and it pulls like it should and aslong as you do not floor it hard it seems to stay ok . But if you stop and start the car up again it goes back to no boost .and when the car is playing up the gearbox goes jerky when going back into first and the revs stays higher before changing. Its weird as the car drives alright without fault first thing gearbox ok drives like it should aslong as you dont really thrash it or turn the engine off and back on again.

Had the same issues on my C350 also. Merc no longer sell single sensors,so you have to buy the whole T piece which included both sensors!!!

I'm hoping it is just a seal like the MB tech thinks it might be if it's not at least I should be able to get his discount on the part and get a mate to fit it for a few beers and food

it wasn't the seal :-(

Have you scanned your car?

It will tell you what is wrong straight away.
