Hi

I have just come out of an M4 competition pack due to a fault and are looking at either a C63 or S

I previously had the last of the old C63 Wagons and I miss the V8 rumble.

What are your thoughts on the differences between the latest C63 and the S and is it worth the extra ?

Also I can't decide between the saloon or wagon and the saloons are easier to come by.

Cheers.

Hey Dazza

I just purchased a C63 s coupe.
i originally went for the c63 coupe however ended up with a better deal on the s (just luck)

I haven't driven the s as yet as not collecting till Friday but from what i have seen online and read and from sitting in the car there is no real differences that a standard driver may notice, On a track you may notice the difference.

You get a race option on the S and not on the standard car, but if i had to pay the price difference i dont see cost as worth it.

You can spec a standard car up to the same spec inside and out, you just dont get the diff and the extra HP or the part alcantara wheel

Unless your going to feel sad buying the car without the S badge id save my pennies tbh.

I will update on friday however as like i said yet to drive an S

but lookes wise no difference for the £

Hi Guys,

I test drove a 63S coupe a while ago and really enjoyed the drive, the S comes with dynamic engine mounts and few other nice bits... in the end I ordered a Cab S, so keep the SWMBO happy... due in March

What does dynamic engine mounts really mean to average Joe?
It sounds like it’s a good thing but is it?

I went for the C63 coupé over the s. I couldn't justify the extra 6k or so for marginal increases.

I did both the s and the non-s on the AMG experience at Brooklands, and the s does have an added urgency on the track, but on the open road you wouldn't notice the slightest difference.

They're standard on the non-S facelift now. As is the electric locking diff - for what that's worth.

I think that the OP might have decided by now, it was 2 years ago wink. Unless s/he's waiting to see what happens with Brexit, in which case it will probably be a discontinued model by then, or cost 25% more biggrin

Lol it’s probably £8-15k less to buy the cars he was looking at then than right now.
