Hi. Am looking about for a c270cdi. I was wondering if anyone has any experience of mb in chichseter? Are they trust worthy, decent work, good salesmen etc? Any words welcome. I don't want to be another to fall victim to a shoddy mb dealer!

We stood in Chichester for a night while on an Englandtour with Austrian vintage SLs in 1994.
MB-Chichester were more than kind to offer us their workshops for secure overnightparking unasked and for free.
Not enough they even sorted out some niggles on our cars, that have turned up on the long way, from saturday evening to sunday morning - again for free.
Noone can beat this!

Well I thought they were a bunch of to**ers.

I went there two years ago to get my girlfriend a new car. She asked to look at the SLK 55 and take it for a test drive....they politely .....ahem.... I mean in the rudest possible terms....informed us that unless we could give them some definitive form of commitment, it was not worth their while...... What sort of way is that to run a business. I thought you had to speculate to accumulate..... They made us feel like complete peasants. Needless to say I verbalised what I thought of them and left them in no doubt what a bunch of anal retentive basta**s they were.

We then went to AFN Guildford Porsche centre expecting even worse treatment.... She was test driving a Boxster S within 10 mins of walking in off the street. Now that attitude sells cars and so I bought one...Nice bunch of chaps and inteligent enough to realise that you don't have to turn up in a whistle to afford a bloody Merc.....
