Can anyone point me in the direction of any for sale & what should I be looking out for?

Sorry if you already know, but try Mercedes Enthusiast Magazine - loads in there.

Ruby... I loked at these a while back and they seemed pretty durable. The exhaust manifolds all crack and cost a bit to sort, many have obviously been done...I would also watch out for Alamandine red metallic...looks a bit pink with fading...sort of a Rubystone colour

The FI system is a whole lotta pain to set up, I think ones that have not been looked after never really run properly. Easy to clock the much less than the real mileage without spotting it, so I'd get the chain & tensioners looked at after purchase. Poor fuel consumption. Self levelling suspension expensive to fix. Lowered cars tend to be done in varying degrees of excellence/jipponess. Plenty in Mercedes Enthusiast, beware of silly prices, they are old cars and they made lots and no Mercedes saloon has ever become a valuable classic before. That's about it.

Ive been tyre kicking these for a while now, still want one and still cant make my mind up, a little concerned about the power, but then they say it has a magic about the handling, after test driving one, I did love it and I cant explain why.

Read the M3 impressions thread in the BMW forum.. in that I experienced a very noticeable lack of any pace and it's only going to be worse in the 190E.
