MAYBACH - FUTURE CLASSIC OR LEMON ?

Like many others I wasnt very impressed by the maybach when it was launched , think the two tone paint and standard wheels did it know favours. However the launch of the s and zephellin models really changed the look of the car and i think made it look better than the Phanthom - not exactly a handsome car either !

Its got me thinking with small numbers produced and it now no longer made , could it be a good investment for future ? I wonder if the fact that MB were cutting costs from the mid 90s on was the reason they got so many things wrong with this car ? I think the fact that it didnt have its own exclusive engine and that the dash was so ordinary looking were reasons why it seemed hard to justify over the s class.

I really love the 62 but find it hard to see point of the 57 versas s class.

Not a very nice car IMO. I tried one of the early ones and couldn't work out why I would sink my own money into one. Not special enough when you could have a Rolls Royce, I can't see them being worthy of an investment unless they become very cheap and you run a chauffeur/wedding business.
