I have a ML350. Just done 6k miles so getting broken in. I had the previous generation ML and the new one is a lot better to drive.
The only downside I have is the fuel economy. It's not as good as quoted (but are they ever). Town driving returns about 30 and motorway about 39. If cruising at 60 I am getting mid 40s. So it's not too bad.
Now for positives.....it is very nice to drive. Alot less agricultural than my previous ML and it does go if you want to give it some beans. It is never a sports car - but it does lift off if you put your foot down. Also highly recommend the command system - it is very good.
Before I changed car, I looked at all the competition and have no regrets! My neighbour has just got one - to go with his C63!
Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Ive had an ml350 for 3 months and its just done 5k miles. Average mpg in that time is 27 which is combination of different roads but mainly motorways. On a run It gets 32 at normal motorway speeds and 30 if travelling a little faster (both with cruise control). About town it's normally around 25-26 mpg. Had a 2011 e350 bluefficiency before and that got around 10 mpg more with comparable driving.
Drives better than I thought and handles ok (traction control is lively though) and on a motorway it's quiet and very refined. Does make my 08 e63 feel small to drive though.
The car didn't come with electric folding mirrors which I'd have liked due to its size (didn't realise it didn't come with them with the sport pack, although they're added on the merc configurator site with sport) got Harmon kardon, light system and comand which are all good to have.
