"Mr Indecisive" E63 VS CLS63 VS SL55 AMG - VS C63

Im looking at buying a used Mercedes and as you can tell from the title of this post im having trouble deciding.
Its either going to be a CLS63, SL55 AMG or E63. My budget is 23k max so ill probably be looking at 2007/08 plate for the E63/CLS or at a late SL55. However, ive not had the opportunity to drive any of them yet and since I live out in the sticks, miles from any that are for sale, I want to try and narrow it down a bit.
My brother owns a 2010 C63 AMG and I love that but they are out of my price range at the minute so my question is how the others above compare to his C63?
As far as I know they have the same 7 Tronic gearbox - please can someone confirm thats the case i.e. CLS/E63 gearbox is exactly the same as my brothers C63? shift time the same etc? Will the 63 models all have the same awesome sound as the C63? (or are the bigger cars quietened down?)
I know the SL55 doesnt have same the 7 tronic gearbox and is 5 speed instead. How does that gearbox compare in terms of shift time and performance?
I love all these cars hence why ive not ruled any out as yet and I have always loved AMG Mercedes so thats probably why im having trouble deciding now ive finally got the money for one. I want a performance, comfortable car, it doesnt have to be practical but it does need to be reliable and be fun to get in (my last car was an M3). I live close to my work so I dont commute a long way.
Does anyone own one of these cars and if so any plus/minus points would be good in helping me decide. I know I really need to drive them but I just want to try and reduce the chance of a wasted journey.

Some factors:
CLS63 does not seem to make the noise that a C63 does (so I've heard said) - or maybe that's because I drive like Miss Daisy.
Book figures would suggest that there's little to choose on performance/gearbox. Perhaps the smaller C is a touch more agile.
Running costs should be broadly similar less brake discs. I believe that there are (relatively) cheap C63 Merc brake options if you don't have the performance pack. All Merc CLS63 front discs are composite at min of £1400 including pads just for parts.
CLS 63 is seen less often on the road so a little more exclusive.
07 CLS63 interior is not as modern looking as the C63 but it is still rather good.
C63 depreciation seems to be still ongoing whereas CLS55 and 63 has slowed. Because there are more Cs, I would expect prices to be softer over time.
My CLS has only had servicing, one movement sensor and one faulty brake wear sensor in 6 years and 46k miles.
Personally, I think the CLS is more beautiful than the E and more likely to be a future classic.
SL is such a different car so not really comparable.
