Are MO fitments mandatory - especially with view of the warranty???
I would like to fit Pirelli Zeros but they cannot get me MO fitments - just the other ones with identiacl speed ratings- test show that they are a lot better in the wet than the competition not unrelevant in the Uk summer....
Alternatives would be Conti and Dunlop as MO fitment
Any adice on Pros and Cons and most importnatly if I can- (legally) fit non MOs

I'm pretty sure it's not like Porsche where you have to use N rated tyres. The MO mark just means they are approved by Mercedes but I doubt they differ in spec from the non-MO equivalent.

You can fit whatever tyres you want as long as they are the same size i.e. width and height. My C63 coupe came with Yokohama Advans which were not bad. Fitted Goodyear Eagle F1 AS2s on the rear now and they are far better in the wet and dry.

I currently have the Yoko Advan sports, but when the rears need replacing I'm thinking of going with Michelin pilot super sport 265/30/19. Do you think these would be ok with the original Yoko Advans on the front?

Yes. I still have the Yokos on the front with Goodyears on the back and no issues.

I replaced my oem Yokohama advan sports rears for the Michelin PSS , the grip is amazing!! But they feel a lot softer, especially at speed, it took me a bit of getting used to and was a bit unnerving.
The yokos must have a stiffer sidewall
