Starting problem SLK320

Fault appeared from nowhere this morning.
Jumped into car turned the key and click,click,click.
Battery A1, no earth fault, and side windows will go down but not up.
I have been informed that there is a common problem with all MB`s with the control relay and this may be the problem.
Anybody with experiance of above?

Can't help with the coughing and clicking and all, but try mbclub.co.uk forums - I found them a great help when I was having problems with my EMS light/Kompressor. Helped me to make sure that my local dealer were doing things properly rather than just fixing various possible problems starting with the cheapest rather than most likely.
