Anyone got any idea how to turn the SRS warning light off without going to the stealership?

There is nowt wrong with the system its been checked out but they guy who checked it out did not have the software to reset the warning light. Its doing my head in. The model is a SLK320

Dunno, but there is now a known modification for sorting out the problem on the SL. Something to do with a cable to cable connection under the drivers seat working loose.

I'll know more details in two weeks time when I drop the car off for it to be done.

Thanks Daz but as a former Electrical Engineer before taking up law the first thing I checked was the cable connections.

probably the a/b ignition squib at fault or a bag
there is a mod for all m/b cars,

try dissconecting the battery for an hour

Sometimes after a long run my SRS redlight comes on, and on the computer screen in the instrument cluster it flashes up SRS fault (been checked twice no real problem), all I do is press the Reset button marked R on the instrument cluster, the same one used to reset trip computer and counter.

This stops the error reading.
