Speed Limiter - SL55 AMG

Has anyone got any advice on removing the speed limiter from the Merc? Have booked for VMAX.

I am getting AMG to do the 65...

I might contact DMS and see what they say..

Interestingly they are advertising they can re-chip a CSL.... AMD didn't manage to hack the DSC /ABS circuits...

Are DMS good? The SL is quite complicated!

As Phatty said AMG will raise the limiter to 187mph and you'll still have your full warrenty (very important in Phatgixer's case), they don't raise above this figure as this is the top speed you tyres are rated to.

There have been E55s which have hit around 195mph with the restrictor completely removed, I would think the SL55 should get to around this mark.

The SL65 is supposed to be able to top 210mph (although the tyres probably turn to treacle )

Thanx for all the advice previously. Had it derestricted at VMAX on Sunday. Well worth it - finally getting over the restricted limit of 157mph was fantastic!
