Cosworth 2.5 16V

Hey chaps,

I have been looking to buy a Merc 190 2.5 16V cosworth, I have always wanted one for some reason, does any one have any experiance with these, running costs etc, and what they are like in general.

The very first issue of "Mercedes Enthusiast" Nov 2001 has a 5 page spread on their 2.3 16V

Not yet, I am still umming and eering on this one, I really fancy one but, I have found that the max bhp that can be gained is around 260bhp without spending crazy money and I was looking for somehting over or around the magic 300bhp mark.

I am still un-decided though. Have you any exerience with the Cosworths?

I do have experience with them....I have one for sale at the moment.

You are right though, race spec 190 EVo's are kicking out over 300 BHP but thats a race car and road cars are a tad different.

From 16V cars i've heard between 200 and 280 bhp.. with the use of Turbo's etc.

I've kept my car standard and the reson i'm selling it is i've got my eye on a larger engined car.. something along the lines of small block V8 or Large V6...
