TV in S430

Hi, having just purchased an S430, i've been told that you can "doctor" the TV so it will stay on above 5mph....only for passengers obviously.
Has anyone done this or know how it is done?

Baz, not sure about the Merc TV, but the retro fit SatNav in my Audi was set up so that you couldnt use the menu etc while driving. The earth wire (I think) was rigged up to the handbrake so when the handbrake was released, the connection was broken and the menu/controls dont work. Easily fixed by connecting the earth to the chassis so the connection was permanent and the controls can be used on the move...er, only by the passanger officer, honest

Not sure if it will work for your S Class, but did test drive a Rover (dont ask) many years ago with a TV in it and the dealer mentioned a similar fix as above to override the TV screen.

A friend of mine did this in his Beemer 750. Consequently we drove all the way to Goodwood with Cat Deeley in the dashboard. Nice.
