Tandem pump for SL500
Discussion
Hi, sorry I cannot directly help but the Tandem pump on my SL55 was replaced almost 3 years ago. It's likely the same part, there was a loud tapping coming from the pump itself where it had likely failed internally. After getting the unit out it appears to be sealed and not simple to pull apart, therfore it was recommended to replace with a new part since the labour/effort to perform the job was rather high. My view was to eventually investigate the fault (likely a failed membrane), but never got round to it.
Mercedes quoted ~£1650 including part, whereas AutoClass milton keynes performed the job for £1200.
I have a feeling the pump failed beacause the car had so little use during it's early life.

They cant be repaired or bought from anywhere but MB (I've been through this myself), and stuff like this is why I cant believe that garages will sell older SLs with ABC - its horribly expensive and the main reason I just sold mine - I was always worried about the suspension.
I did see a used one on eBay recently - £400 though.

Thought tandem pump was related to power steering, OP could this be the right part? I did see a used one on eBay recently - £400 though.
