A Class Folding Mirrors ?
Discussion
That's right - on the W169 (2005-12) if it doesn't have the electric folding mirror option fitted then the mirrors can't be folded manually in the usual fashion. They can be snapped backwards and then re-located using the catch that's intended to protect them from minor mirror-to-mirror collisions, but I wouldn't want to do that on a regular basis, and they aren't held in position when they're "snapped back" like that.
The switch for the mirrors is between the left and right-hand mirror adjustment selectors on the driver's door - if electric folding mirrors weren't fitted there's a blanking plate with no icon on it instead.
It's ridiculous really that they weren't a standard fit, or at the very least that Mercedes didn't provide a proper "manual fold" mechanism instead.

We had this issue with our A-Class (07MY w169) and it was very frustrating, the mirrors got damaged once as a result of it not been possible to fold them in.
The electric option was pretty cheap when new £150ish IIRC but very few cars had it specified. Retrofitting isn't cheap and the quotes I once got ranged up to £1k.
Think the W245 B-Class shares the same flaw.
Aside from that though they are really nice cars and I'd definitely have another, try and find one with as many options as possible would be my recommendation
