A lovely piece of kit but, Jesus God - TWENTY GRAND!
In 1997 my first wife and I bought a 2 owner 1983 280TE in silver with blue MBTex, everything working and only slightly frayed around the edges for £650 to take stuff to the dump and do the builders merchant run whilst we did up a house. It ran like a swiss watch for 18 months and, in the end, we gave it to the plumber in exchange for a pump for a power-shower. Talk about dumb decisions!
