CD changer cartridge

I have just bought a 2003 Mercedes SL 500 and there is no cartridge in the CD changer. Does anyone know where I can get one - is it a Mercedes special bit or are they made by someone else?

I'm pretty sure my old C-Class changer cartridge was stamped as being made by Alpine - maybe worth contacting an approved Alpine retailer & asking them to check?

Just get one off ebay. Or go to the dealer. They're all the same, no matter who they're made by, Alpine or Becker.

Thanks for the info. I actually found the cartridge 'hiding' in another one of the storage areas! Tried it last night and it doesn't pick up the disks - looks like a job for the weekend
