ML 280 cdi se high miles

Hi all, 1st post in this section for me.

I am looking for a bit of advice on my next car.

I have seen a 2008 ml 280cdi se with 120k on the clock fsh good nick etc. I have a test drive in the morning. Its half the price of a similar car at my main dealer.
Any advice on this model appreciated.

hi there,

I have a ml 280cdi sport bought from Approved used dealer. Nothing but problems. More so the customer services and the lies from MB.

Things to look out for

Response from the gear box. I.e Gear changes and how smooth. I had the speed sensor inside the gearbox go (quite common)

Rust on door shuts where the factory welds are

Rust on arches

Rust on door seals where it meets rear arches

Differential issues are common


But great cars very smooth, quiet and lovely to drive
