I do like a 107
Discussion
I've had many over the years but went through a period of about 15 yrs without. I bought a fine example of a late 500 about 2.5 yrs ago and use it sparingly
It's been in storage for about 7 months. Retrieved it yesterday and have been bowling around in it constantly since.
These Mercs are definitely of a time gone by. A magnificent car which is so very solid, not particularly fast, just a big heavy tank but it has something very special that you just don't get with any other car. A very majestic cruiser which attracts masses of attention.
Love it

Couldn't agree more. I've had my 420 SL for a couple of months now and just love it. I was originally going to buy a 2 year old SL but eventually decided it would be not a lot different to drive than my other modern cars and I really wanted something a bit retro.
The 107 definitely feels like a car that was designed over 40 years ago which makes it rather charming to drive. It's a big old bus and like you said not particularly quick but I almost feel as though it would be disrespectful to try and hustle it through the twisties anyway. It's a great motorway and boulevard cruiser.
I just wish we had a bit more sun so I can really start to enjoy it.
