I just found out (completely by accident) that if you press the power button and the round menu button at the bottom at the same time, your phone takes a screen shot and stores it in photos.

I have no idea when this would be useful but I guess someone might! Any other 'secret' features I should know about?

Thats never been a secret, all dev features are available already on the iphone, you can pay $99 to get dev updates too, that lets you have beta features, software, OS etc

No I didnt think it was a secret, just something I didnt know about. Which to be fair doesn't say much I am a bit of a luddite.

Sseriously?! Why the need to compartmentalise everything? General chat about an everyday item....

i found this feature when my phone locked up and was trying to reset it.thought it was my phone going mad

I'll join the fellow luddites and admit to a little feature I didnt realise until a couple of days ago...pressing the bottom button twice quickly brings up a mini player so you can pause and skip tracks without exiting the app your using. Had been exiting and restarting apps until this point every time I wanted to skip a track...whoopsie

especially like the double tap of the bottom button to go back to the main screen. Just read the above and can now delete my emails without opening them! Yay! biggrin
