:No suitable decompresser could be found

Sick of seeing this message, any ideas how I fix? On NT4, Winodws Media Player v6.4.07.1121. Help is no use, MS website says 'no more help avilable at this time'. Gee, thanx MS
I just want ot watch the nigh 6GB of crazy car vids I've got on my slave disk!

Upgrade from NT4 to something media friendly like XP?!

Depends what format the vids are in. You need the the right codec for the file type. There are plenty places you can download free codecs. Plucked from a google search www.divxcodecs.com/ Seems to do divx and various mpeg/vcd/svcd formats. The file extensions will give you a clue to which codec you need. Bigvid.avi, bigvid.mpg, etc

Just get the 'Nimo Codec Pack' it has most of the current codecs. You can get it from here: www.divx-digest.com/software/nimo_pack.html
