Basically I want to build a very simple website that I can use to show my work - I'm a copywriter in advertising/direct marketing.

Anyone know either, what's the best way to make one myself, or, how cheaply can I get one produced by someone with a tad more expertise.

Thought this may have be posted before, but did a quick search and couldn't find anything.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers.

Shirks.

You could use an html wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) editor like Microsoft's frontpage. Although it is simple to use, like any software, you still have to learn how to use it. If you just want a fairly static wbsite I'd pay someone to do it for you then you can get them to sort out the domain name/hosting for you at the same time. It'll cost you £150 - £200 for a basic site with 5 or so pages. Do you know any IT students on holiday at the moment, they're probably hard up and would do it for silly money. It all really depends on lot on how much customisation you require.

Luke, my number 1 son is redundant at the mo' He is a web site designer, HTML, DHTML, FTP, Flash, Dreamweaver, Photoshop etc. and I am sure he could build you a basic site (he could build you a complex one too if you want ). Let me know if you are interested in going down this route and I can put you in touch.

FrontPage is perfectly adequate for a non-flashy (in both senses of the word) site. I used it for www.manekdubash.com....|www.manekdubash.com ...
