Computer crashing!!

Just today, my computer starts crashing whilst on the internet. It comes up with a box, saying windows shutdown, and it says a problem connectind with an RPC??

It has a count-down from 1 minute and then shuts itself down. I've deleted anything new i've put on my computer from today. What could it be?? I've run virus checker and ad-aware and nothing came up.

The only random shutdown I can think of is overheating due to the processor fan stopping working and causing an automatic shutdown to stop itself frying.

It has been hot lately too which wouldn't help.

This is a global worm attack - looks like a prelude to a DoS attack being planned for the 16th. The vulnerability is on ports using RCP protocol, see below:

Frankly, I wouldn't bother with Norton. Symantec's code is, in my experience and from what I hear, buggy and slow. For AV, I use AVG (www.grisoft.com), which is free and fast. Firewall -- use ZoneLabs.
