Finally, BT are giving me Broadband. I see that I need some kind of dongle/filter for each telephone I want to plug in, to enable people to use the phone while I'm on the 'net. I get 2 with the BT welcome pack, and can buy more for 7.50 each. Does anyone know if this is something I can pick up from somewhere like Maplin for much less money? (I need another 4).

Thanks!

I got them at Dixons in Maidenhead. I'm sure I paid £15 each for them

Unfortunately the site I posted before seems to be having a few problems at the moment as I continue to look around it. For your information the filters were 99p+VAT each. Maybe try the site again in a few minutes.

Yes, saw that - thanks - sorry I didn't respond. This 99p filter is the same as the 10 pounds one on Amazon I think.

This looks like one to try - buy reading buyers reports, some people have had problems with them. Do you?

Can't say I have tried it actually! I bought one thinking I wouldn't get one with the router but I did. If you want I can send you the one I have to try it out (assuming I can find it!). Mail me through my profile.

Some filters can have problems with DECT phones, sky boxes (i.e. modems).

Have a look at the forums on www.adslguide.org.uk the topic comes up every few days.

I have just looked - I do have it with me. If you want me to send it over, drop me an email.
