Me again

I have adaware which I run pretty regularly since I'm online for days at a time.

I do however have the AdWatch V3 extra bit but only started it up a couple of times to constantly monitor but when I do run it it lets me into Pistonheads but as soon as I enter the forum it blocks it and shuts Pistonheads down.

Does anyone know what needs to be done to get it to work because there doesn't seem to be any options or preferences on AdWatch.

Alternatively, is it worth running if I run Adaware scans every 1-2 days or so?

Thanks

Hi,

I dont use addware, I let norton Firewall and Virus checker do the work. it stops 99% of the popups the way i have set it up and allows vertualy trouble free browsing of the net.

Cant be of any use to you on this one though

I've Zone Alarm and norton Anti-virus but they dont stop everything, data mining and spyware can still get through, that's what Adaware cleans up.

You might want to get it too

thanks

I have given up on the windows xp/2000/98 thing. I am switching over to Linux for my main server and all workstations in the house as Microsoft stuff is full of bugs and security probs, many reviews say that Linux Firewalls are better than after market Norton etc so i am gonna switch and see what yeilds.

I have had no problem with spyware etc but where do you get adaware from and whats the cost may install it to see what is on the comp looking in on my data.

Cheers

Steve
