Short while ago I had a failure in a stick of memory on my PC and had to junk it. Its crawling along now and I'd like to replace it.. Only thing is, I've no idea if its SDRAM, DDRAM or err.. Whatever else it might be.. Motherboard I think will take both, (though I could be wrong about that..), the old one is sat on my keyboard and in unhelpfully not marked..

How can I tell what it is I've gotr in there so I can match it? Know any good deals on memory at the moment?

What chip is it?

Chances are that if its a PIII or early Athlon then its standard 168 pin SDRAM you are after.

www.crucial.co.uk has a facility for you to give it your mobo maker and model and it will tell you...

Depends on your motherboard, what type of memory slots it has fitted, if you have the manual for the motherboard it should tell you in there.
