PC games anyone?
Discussion
I'm doing a bit of a clear up in the flat and have about 20 PC games that will work on a slightly older PC - most don't want to work with XP.
If anyone wants them drop me an e-mail and I will post them off.
Here is the list of titles:
•Quake 2
•Daikatana
•Unreal
•Delta Force
•Far Gate
•Commandos: Behind enemy lines
•Aliens versus Predator (Gold edition) – Plus walk through guide
•Combat Flight Simulator – WW2 Europe series
•Combat Flight Simulator 2 – WW2 Pacific Theatre
•Combat Pilot (No.1 Attack squadron) add on for CFS
•Korean Combat Pilot (Add on for CFS2)
•Shogo Mobile Armour division
•Starlancer
•Codename Eagle
•Homeworld
•Homeworld Cataclysm
•Command and Conquer Tiberian Sun
•Ground Control
•The Fallen – Star Trek DS9
•KKND Extreme
I would prefer to send them as one package if possible, but would consider splitting them up.
Most of them are missing their manuals, but as with most games they are pretty easy to pick up or have their own learning guides built in.
No charge at all - I just thought I would offer them here before I chuck them into the bin.

I can never get any game I download from Kazaa to actually work ! What's the flipping secret ?!?!

It depends on how the game has been ripped. Some files need to be unzipped by using WinAce/WinZip/WinArchive and other zipping files. I usually have all these installed on my system anyway so I can always recognise the type of file I am downloading and unzip it when needed. The most recent game I got off Kazaa was Operation Genesis - Jurassic Park, its quite good actually.

The problem is I don't have any of the boxes and most of the manuals are departed too. I had thought of that, but then I thought I would just offer them up here.
Mind you the lack of commercialism I have showed is probably the reason why I don't yet have my TVR!

Yeah I tried that. The problem was mainly the fact that I now run a laptop which isn't the best platform to start with. I am missing some software that Microsoft now don't include in windows XP for some legal reason or other, and I couldn't get it to work after independant downloading. I am now all "x-boxed" up however and using that for gaming, leaving my laptop free of gaming clutter.
Yeah, games an laptops don't mix. However laptops do make a good portable cinema for those long airline flights
If you are a hardcore gamer, you will probably be much happier with the X-box. I can't wait for my daughter to get old enough so that I can go out and buy whatever gaming console is the "hot one"
Me to the wife:"But the kids will love Grand Theft Auto..."

I wouldn't even bother with Kazaa, way too slow and full of viruses. I've used Direct Connect for 2 years and it's awesome, you can download the software/read the FAQs etc at www.neo-modus.com/ Only downside for some may be that to get on the best hubs you need to share out at least 20Gb. Once ur up and running check out the Wexio and Vaxjo hubs, they're the only ones I've really used for 2 years.
