Random buyer messages

Anyone decipher this one?

Rd 250 350 a b

After selling a shirt I didn't want ( for charity )

The item wasn't Yamaha related in any way but I'd imagine whatever this is about probably was biggrin

You're showing your age there. Although I immediately knew what you were referring to!

Ha same. Wonder if I will hear any more from the guy or should probably nudge to query who it was meant for in case they didn't reply where it was really needed

They're trying to play top trumps with you, reply with a better bike and you'll win this hand.

I wouldn't go in that hard, I'd save that for later as that's quite a good card. Maybe go for something like CB650F

True did escalate pretty hard there biggrin
Naturally the RD 350 YVPS would be a more evolutionary route.
Or YZF 750 SP for softening up on the R1 suggestion

I owned a CB500V R plate and it was a little too good for a commuter, made in Italy. Also perhaps a decent counter suggestion biggrin
First ever was a NSR125R, not such a good trump counter card

For reasons that I still don't understand even decades later - I never really went the two stroke route. CB125, then I think GPZ305 followed by various bigger GPZs, Fireblades, R1s etc.

Good choices as I got older, but bizarre ones when I was younger!

Me too with odd past choices, but I made up for it in my very last few bikes as I'm not doing at the moment.

At times also had odd things Like EN500 Vulcan and VN800 Drifter to tick that box, but more recently (or less as its been a few) T595 and then a T995i both amazing and surprisingly different bikes. The latter was practically like new from a Triumph dealer and felt it. The former was actually more raucous rough and ready and somehow preferable brute, but less smooth overall.

My bike direction could return though, like if I ever ended up on my own and no concerns about passing away - probably end up with more of a touring type of thing with room for a dog on it biggrin
