Will be used for general Windows stuff, albeit for a sole trader business.

Whats decent these days ?

Currys with buying from, or go to Dell ?

You should be able to get a decent Lenovo or Asus for that money - get something with 16GB RAM but other than that it is much of a muchness for general use.

Hardest thing will be finding stock. I've helped 3 people buy a laptop in the past week for a similar budget, all 3 got ASUS machines, 2 from the ASUS Amazon page and 1 from EE. AO seemed expensive for what they had and Currys and John Lewis have very little stock.

For general windows stuff, Office, websites etc, it's fine.

But it shows how prices have gone up. So 2 years ago now, I paid £240 for it. Now it's £450.

But they do have them in stock.

Snapdragon puts me off slightly. Ive heard it can cause some issues with random software.
