Microsoft Security / Login Security / one-time passcode

I am increasingly fed up of Windows / Hotmail and the security layers that seems to exist. I have Windows hello, passwords, Pin, pass Keys, Authenticators, security digits/select ## etc etc!

I have requested some financial docs to be sent through, and they have been sent through to me as encrypted files. All I need to do is open them, request a one-time passcode, and im good to go. However, the passcode never arrives.

its not in my junk, spam, folders. I dont have any blocked Microsoft emails and despite multiple devices nothing arrives. Googling always seems to bring back bullst ''check your junk mail, or ensure you havn't blocked Microsoft as a sender' - no help to me.

I have so many various Microsoft security stuff, yet this one seems to have no other options for me.

I have requested the Docs sent another way, but post seems to be my only other option.... but what a joke, when the passcode would be sent to the same inbox that the Encrypted email sits in... so what Security is that!?

very, very frustrating!

Does anyone have any bright ideas on why i am not receiving this ruddy email?
