I’m using an iPhone with Apple Private Relay.
This seems to cause google searches to trigger a google captcha style check that I’m actually a human.

Has anyone else seen this and have a workaround to stop this (other than turning off the private relay)

Thanks

I've had that a lot this last week, but not using relay so that's not the cause.

Any VPN service will do this as there will be a higher number of requests than average from a single IP

I've had a lot of Apple Private Relay error this week, but I'm 99% sure it's the work internet connection flapping more than anything.

I'm getting this a lot on my iPhone and Mac, I run a VPN at home for my TV stick, but that's it, everything else goes via Apple private relay.

I''m also getting it on my iPhone when out and about on 4G and Wifi

I've given up and changed private relay to 'hide IP from trackers only' in Safari on my Mac and iphone.

I have been getting too many captcha requests and some sites won't even open. Too much grief for not a lot of protection.

I get it constantly on my iPhone. Really annoying. I also use Private Relay.

Using Safari on my Mac, I get bombarded all the time with requests/pop ups from Google.com to ask permission to use my location. Even if I click Allow, it still keeps asking. If anyone has a fix for this, I would be grateful.

Don't use google.com. I still use google in the search bar but that's it. As I mentioned above, I switched to 'hide trackers only' in Safari on my iPhone, has fixed the captcha issues.

Thanks, I will try adjusting the security settings on Safari.
